FOR CATS WHO FREEZE IN VEST HARNESSES

Engineered for escape resistance without the bulk.

First release will be limited.

JOIN THE EARLY ACCESS LIST

We are finalising development and preparing our first production run.

To maintain quality control and gather real customer feedback, the initial release will be strictly limited in quantity.

Once sold out, restock timing will depend on demand and production lead times.

BUILT FOR CATS WHO DISLIKE BULKY VEST HARNESSES DESIGNS.

Bulky harnesses can trigger a freeze response in sensitive cats. CATFIT removes the excess fabric and keeps only what is needed for a secure, escape resistant fit.

Secure Neck Control

Central adjustment distributes tension evenly for a consistent fit.

Martingale System

Activates under backward pressure to reduce escape space.

Three Point Adjustment

Allows a tailored, body specific fit.

Minimal Chest Panel

Low coverage to reduce freeze response.

WHY TRADITIONAL
HARNESSES FAIL

Most vest harnesses rely on fabric coverage to feel secure.

But coverage is not containment.

When a cat reverses or drops their shoulders, wide openings and soft panels create space to back out.

CATFIT focuses on structure, controlled tension, and geometry that responds when backward pressure happens.

BACK OF CAT HARNESS

DESIGNED FOR REAL WALKS

Not decorative.

Not oversized.

Not padded for looks.

CATFIT is built for control, structure, and simplicity.

    Frequently asked questions

Is this harness completely escape proof?

No cat harness is 100% escape proof.

Cats are incredibly flexible and can slip out of any harness if it is loose, incorrectly fitted, or used without supervision.

CatFit is designed to be escape resistant. It includes a martingale style tightening system at the leash connection point. When gentle pressure is applied, the loop slightly tightens to reduce space around the body, making it harder for a cat to back out.

Combined with multiple adjustment points and a low bulk structure, this design helps increase security while allowing natural movement.

However, no harness can guarantee containment. Always ensure:

    • The fit is snug but comfortable

    • You supervise your cat while outdoors

    • You check the fit regularly

CatFit reduces risk. Proper fit and supervision complete the safety equation.

Will this stop my cat from freezing?

Some cats freeze due to excess fabric and restriction. The minimal strap design reduces body coverage, which may help cats feel less constrained. However, individual behaviour varies.

Training is still essential. Cats need time to adjust to wearing a harness and walking on a leash. Gradual indoor introduction and positive reinforcement are strongly recommended before outdoor use.

How should I introduce it to my cat?

Keep it simple and go at their pace.

Let them sniff it first. Then pop it on for about five minutes inside the house. No leash. Just let them wander around and get used to the feeling.

Do this once a day for a week, slowly increasing the time as they get more comfortable. Pair it with treats, dinner, or play so they start to associate it with something good.

When they’re walking around normally in it, attach the leash indoors first. Let them feel a bit of light tension without pulling them.

Even the best harness will not replace training. Confidence comes from repetition, patience, and keeping the experience calm.

Can my cat slip out if they pull backwards?

The martingale style loop is built for that exact situation. If your cat pulls backwards, it gently tightens to reduce the space around their body, making it significantly harder to reverse out.

A correct fit makes a big difference. The harness should feel secure and snug without restricting movement. If it is too loose, it cannot do its job properly.

That said, cats are incredibly flexible and fast when startled. No harness can guarantee containment in every scenario. Staying attentive, keeping the leash at a controlled length, and avoiding high stress environments all add another layer of safety.

The design increases security. Your supervision completes it.

Why not use a vest design?

Vest harnesses can distribute pressure well, but some cats simply do not tolerate that much fabric around their body.

Cats are independent by nature. Many of them do not like the feeling of something wrapped closely around their torso. It can make them feel restrained or exposed, which is when you see freezing, flopping, or refusal to move.

This design keeps coverage minimal. Less fabric against the body, less of that “held in” feeling, while still maintaining structure and security where it matters.
