Our story

I built CATFIT because of my two cats, Luka and Mahli.

Luka was the one I tried everything on. Jackets, vests, H-style harnesses, basically anything I could find. He backed out of most of them within minutes. The ones that didn't let him escape were so bulky he'd just sit there stiff, clearly not enjoying it.

Mahli was different. She settled into an H-style harness early and never had an issue with it. But every single time we went outside, I had this fear sitting in the back of my mind. What if one day she got spooked and pulled back and just slipped right out. It never happened, but the worry never really left either.

What pushed me to start this was the need to find something minimal and lightweight, that wouldn't restrict them, but that Luka and Mahli would actually feel comfortable and confident wearing, without me worrying they could escape.

I looked into why this kept happening, and it's pretty simple. Most cat harnesses are just shrunk down dog harnesses. They're not made for how a cat actually moves, or how easily a cat can wriggle out of something that isn't snug enough.

So I built CATFIT to fix that. It uses a martingale style design, the part that tightens slightly if your cat tries to back out of it, so a scared moment doesn't turn into them getting loose. The chest panel is small and minimal on purpose, so it sits lightly instead of restricting them, but it's still secure where it counts.

I made this for the cat that stares out the window and wants more than just the backyard. And for the cat already going outside, where you just want one less thing to worry about.

Luka and Mahli wore every early version of this. Every adjustment, every small failure, all of it. What you're looking at now is the version I'd trust with my own cats, because I already do.

I hope it gives your cat the same thing it's given mine. A bit more world to explore, and a bit less to worry about.
