You buy a harness, put it on, and your cat freezes, flops over or wriggles straight out of it. So it goes in a drawer, and your cat goes back to watching the world through the window.
Usually it's not your cat. It's a harness that doesn't fit right and no plan for introducing it.

Not every cat wants to walk, and that's fine. The goal is a cat who's happy and safe outside.
How the challenge works
7 days, one small step at a time
Each morning, a short email tells you exactly what to do that day. Keep sessions short, 2 to 3 times a day, and always reward with treats.

Meet it
Let your cat sniff the harness, with treats, then drape it over their back for a few seconds.

First wear
Put it on for 2 to 3 minutes at a time, during a meal or play.

A bit longer
5 minutes per session. Give them a treat whenever they walk in it.

Settle in
10 minutes per session. Encourage them to walk around, and reward them when they do.

Add the leash
10 to 15 minutes indoors. Follow your cat with the leash loose, rewarding them as you go.

At the door
10 to 15 minutes sitting together at the door or on the balcony, with treats.

First time outside
5 to 10 minutes in a quiet spot. Reward them with treats while you're out.
Not ready yet? That's normal
Only move to the next step when your cat is relaxed: eating, playing and moving normally in the harness. If they freeze, flop or try to back out, go back a step and repeat it for as long as they need. Many cats need more than 7 days, and your 30 days covers that.
